The Mission of the Tennessee highway Patrol is to serve, secure and protect the people of the Great State of Tennessee. This is achieved through aggressive patrol, criminal interdiction, intelligence gathering, and investigation, with a commitment to partnering with other government levels to serve the citizens of Tennessee and provide emergency and specialty services. The THP also enforces commercial vehicle laws and assists with criminal investigations. The THP also enforce all traffic laws and investigate motor vehicles using state of the art crash reconstructions tools.

From the young age of five, I would watch my dad leave for work in his uniform, gun on his hip, and badge shining on his chest. Watching him get in his patrol car made me realize that I wanted to be just like him. I became a Law Enforcement officer at the age of 21, from there I found my calling and throughout the years. I became more involved with community relations and community safety. The satisfaction of being a part of the largest Agency within the Great State of Tennessee is something out of this world. The interaction with different people every day challenges me to be a better person for myself and the community in which I serve. Since becoming the Tennessee Highway Patrol's Colonel, I have met some great people who have become some of the most outstanding troopers the THP has to offer. For anyone wanting to follow a motivated and para-military organization. This is where you want to be. If you want to make a difference in a community full of excitement.
